I got my cartilage pierced on Sunday, so almost a week ago, considering it's Friday as I'm typing this.. Anyway, I have a few questions..
My cartilage is soft and it injured about a 0.5 on the pain scale to get it pierced, and it already doesn't injured at all.. So how long would it be before I could change the jewellery?
And secondly, I 'd like to hear some experiences with cartilage piercings (I have my left tragus pierced as well, got it pierced at the beginning of July and it's still healing).
xx

Answer:
You should still wait the suggested length of time, regardless of experiencing no pain. This is usually a minimum of 6 weeks. If you change it before then you’re more susceptible to infections and other problems such as the piercing not healing properly and taking even longer to heal. I'm pretty sure this isn't the answer you want to hear, but it's the safest bet. If you want a proper thought on your case then visit a salon for advice, as I can only give a general answer without seeing your piercing.

Good luck!

Answer:
I would wait as long as you can, piercings are always a lot healthier when the original jewellery's still in. 3 weeks. I had the rim of my cartilage done about 6 times and each time it was a nightmare, for me it just didn't heal sleeping on it thorough the night makes it a nightmare. I would advocate the counch piercing i have had this for over a year and iv never had any pain any swelling or dirt coming from it, it never gets knocked being inside the ear so it heals brilliantly. I also have my rook done which it brilliant, this is also inside the ear and therefore doesn't get knocked iv never had any problems with it. I also have my anti tragus which can be abit painful at times it flairs up now and them but i love my piercing too much to be bothered about the pain :)

I would say wait another week or so, just to be on the safe side. Leaving it can't injured.

I got my left tragus pierced at the end of July along my left rook and both hurt, but not very badly. My tragus has healed by now and so has my rook, although that took a little more time. I always soaked the piercings with salt water each night which worked well. At the start I also used the solution the shop gave me but I don't think it helped and after I stopped using it was when the piercings started to heal better. I think that as long as you don't over-clean the piercing and just try to keep from bumping it and touching it, it should heal up soon.

Answer:
about 2 or 3 months till you can change it,
i had awful trouble with my piercing, i had it done with a gun when i was about 8, that got infected and i took it out at 9 ish.
when i was 12 or 13 i decided to re-peirce it with a normal earing, so i did and it had so so so much pus and gunk in it and it was disgusting, i took care of it and it healed fine but i needed to get it stretched because studs are really bad for that part, so i got it stretched to a 1.6 (same as all my other piercings) and it got infected and now i have a pretty small keyloid scar on it and it just wont go. and iv taken it permuntly now.

so id say maybe wait another week or 2 until it feels healed up a little more, just to be safe. as for my story, i got an orbital conch piercing through the back of my ear and through my lobe, but it was a pain to get the ring through. i dont reccomend getting it done if your not a fan of pain, the piercing itself was only a 3 or 4 on the pain scale but getting the jewelry through was an 8 at least. it hurt like a b*tch. so, in conclusion getting an orbital conch may look badass but it makes sleeping very painful. good luck :)

Answer:
I think its about 6 weeks til you can change it (at least thats what i heard.)

I got mine pierced like 3 weeks ago i think, with a gun kit i purchased at wal-mart. Didnt injured to bad to pierce but it hurt for a few days. And then it felt great.

And i want to get my tragus pierced too! :)

Answer:
Wait 3 months. That's how long you're supposed to wait 'til you take it out, even if you feel no pain. & i have my cartilage pierced, it barely hurt ever. I waited 3 months, took it out. & it never got infected again.
