I want to get a tattoo, but i really don't know anything about it. so:
when am i legally granted to get one?
how much does it injured? i want to get my my spine and upper back tattoo'd, in black tribal patterns.
how much would it cost?
if anyone lives in sussex, do you know anywhere good? i don't want a botch-job (y)
any complications afterwards or anything?

thank you :)

Answer:
You can legally get one when you're 18, 'parental consent' etc is nonsense, it's 18.

The pain is bearable but obviously you've got a superior knowledge of your tolerance than anyone else.

Cost depends on how large it is, how long it takes and the artist doing the work.

Into you tattoo in Brighton is meant to be a good place to go and it's certainly where I'd go if I still lived over there. http://www.into-you.co.uk/brighton.php

Any half-decent artist will fill you in on aftercare advice, especially if you ask them to.

Answer:
I can't help you much with the pain and stuff, although I assume that where you want it done would be painful as it is bony, and that is going to hurt more than soft areas, but you can't legally get one until you’re 18. The sh*t about “you can get one with parents permission at blah blah blah” is a myth. The truth is most tattoo places just don't care. And the thing some of my friends did like getting their parents to go with them to state they are 18 is stupid, if you was 18 you wouldn't need them to. Anyway, rant over, most tattooists charge for how long it takes, so it depends how big the design is. And make sure you’re absolutely happy with the design, before it's too late. Don't rush into it.
